HINT:
This week’s show will feature a line-up of the usual suspects who are guilty as charged when it comes to swing. But it will be a crime if you can’t guess what else they all have in common!

They meet. They feel an attraction. They fall in love. What follows is usually a happy ending – usually, but not always. Let’s talk about that “not always, ” okay?

Here we go again!
You remember how this works, don’t you? I give you a hint about the show’s theme every Wednesday and then you spend the next 3 days puzzling and parsing, discerning and dissecting my intentionally vague and misleading clue. The suspense builds to a fever pitch (or maybe a knuckleball) until, finally, 10:00 PM Saturday night comes and the theme is revealed in the first minute of the program. The relief is palpable.
So, are you ready? Here goes:

What are the three words kids hate the most?
Okay. Start puzzling and parsing, discerning and dissecting, and I’ll talk to you Saturday night at 10:00 (E.S.T.)

Only two shows left this season. How will I spend the penultimate hour of Turntable For One? Doing card tricks? Demonstrating how to knit a two-stitch twist cable? Handing out summer listening assignments? All of the above? A fourth thing that is a surprise?
Now that I’ve got you at the edge of your seat, be careful not to fall off and hit your head because then you’d miss the show on Saturday night.

I just found out I have an audience that listens to all my shows, in fact, they listen to every word I ever say, and, sadly I’ve been ignoring them — but not this week! To make up for it, I’m dedicating the entire show to them Saturday night!
PROGRAM NOTE:
This Friday night I’ve been invited back to The Night Cafe — believe me, no one is more surprised than I am. However, the host, Will Duchon is taking the night off. (I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe in coincidences.) So I’ll be sitting in for Will on a special, “60s Night At The Night Cafe.” Songs of the 60s, but not the way you remember them. Friday night, 10:00 PM!

I’m throwing a musical party this Saturday night, but before you break out the hats and horns, better check out the menu: sour grapes, bitter aftertastes, and stew in your own juices.
Also I’ll be sitting in with Will Duchon on The Night Cafe this Friday night at 10:00 PM with another hour of jazz vocals.
Talk to you Friday and Saturday Nights!

Old-timey songs plus violins, accordions, ukuleles, and even harps – – I know, it sounds like a nightmare New Jersey wedding, but no! This week Turntable For One is totally going “back to the FUTURE.”
