PLAYLIST FOR “LESSONS IN DEVELOPING A ‘CAN’T-DO’ ATTITUDE” (4.28.12)

29 Apr

Any radio program can tell you how to become just another successful “can-do” kind of person, but only Turntable For One dares to show you how to turn everyday pessimism, doubt, and defeat into an hour of great jazz vocals. It’s a dirty job, but I usually wear latex gloves.

Talk to you next week.

Do you believe in mind over matter? Do you believe that if there’s a will, there’s a way? Are you much admired for what everyone calls a ‘Can-Do’ attitude? If so, then the music this week on Turntable For One is definitely going to upset you.

I know I can’t wait!

We kicked it old school last night – no CDs and no prepared playlist or notes. Instead I pulled a couple dozen old vinyl albums and played what I felt like at the moment. Twice the fun?
