PLAYLIST FOR “NOSTALGIA NIGHT” (11.18.17)

18 Nov

I thought about the good old days this week, when I was smart and my phone was dumb, when a blue state was me having a bad day, and when Harvey was a six-foot invisible rabbit you really wanted to see and not a creep you never want to see again. We can’t live in the past, but I don’t mind an occasional visit.

Where is the Boswell Sisters track? I was sure you played them today. Thank you.

HI, Jennifer – Thanks for stopping by. I didn’t exactly play the Boswell Sisters (though I love them). I played Duchess, a new vocal group, a trio of young women, who admire the Boswells as much as, I guess, you do. They sang “Everybody Loves My Baby” based on the Boswell Sisters recording with some additional lyrics. It’s on their latest CD, “Laughing At Life.” I hope you heard and liked that recording, too. Thanks again for listening and for writing – Bill
