PLAYLIST FOR “APRIL FOOL!”(AN ARCHIVE REBROADCAST) 4.3.26

5 Apr

Well, if you were expecting a new show this week, the joke was on you. I dipped back into the archives for a classic…well, okay, an old show. Happy now? Here’s what I wrote about the show back then:

Sure, I promised my audience a special April 1st show with a new recording of Rod Stewart singing “Nessun Dorma,” a YouTube video of The Boy’s Choir of Galway Cathedral singing in Gaelic, “99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall,” plus a bootleg from a Joni Mitchell recording session where Joni is aiming a profanity-lace rant at her assistant who gave her the wrong bottle of spring water. Okay, that stuff I couldn’t deliver. But a couple hours of songs about fools and foolishness was a foolproof formula for a great April Fools Day show.
