Generally it takes 12 muscles to smile and 11 muscles to frown. But the 25 songs I played don’t even begin to capture the complexity, the intensity, the subtleties, and the diversity of bitterness. If I left out your favorite, don’t be bitter. I only have two hours. But, at least I did prove that even Canadians can be bitter.

I loved the theme and playlist, especially “The Man That Got Away”; I hope that you will consider devoting a future program to Judy’s brilliant Carnegie Hall concert album.
Thanks for visiting, and listening, and writing! It is an amazing album and one that I come back to frequently both at home and on the show. I haven’t devoted an entire show to one album, in part because presenting lots of singers – familiar and not so familiar- is one of my main joys of the show. But if you keep listening- and I hope you do – I know you’ll hear more Judy.
