I know it was wishful thinking on my part, but on Saturday’s show I celebrated finally hitting bottom. No, this wasn’t a tribute to Stormy Daniels, it was a realization that the way things are going, I may not live long enough to see us hit the actual bottom. All the songs and some of the singers know exactly what I meant. So now, after this show, I can tell myself (or pretend) that things will start to get better. (I’m not holding my breath, because I know I really won’t live long enough that way.)

TURNTABLE FOR ONE 
Dear “H”, My husband and I listen to your program every Saturday night (better than going out!). Perfect 2 hours of heartfelt music. Even though we have been Jazz enthusiasts for YEARS (since Brubeck first came on the scene), you have introduced us to voices not widely heard, but wonderful! In particular, on May 5th show, we heard Boz Scaggs version of The Ballad of the Sad Young Men, and had never heard Fran Landsman’s evocative song before. Last night’s show (May 12) was, once again, wonderful and a tribute to Mothers. There were many terrific choices and the Mystery Vocalist song, “Words” was beyond touching to me. I am now going to try to find the podcast from last night and play it again. Thanks for your efforts in finding this great music and don’t change a thing!
