PLAYLIST FOR “NEW SEASON’S GREETINGS” (12.12.20)

13 Dec

I’ve gotten a ton of new Christmas music and since we all can use anything to raise our spirits these days, I decided to focus this week on this new music – plus an extra-early Christmas present, a single from Freda Payne’s upcoming CD. She’s 78, Johnny Mathis is 85 and they’re both still singing like this. I get out breath pouring my bowl of cereal. This coming week will be the Annual Turntable For One Christmas Party. Everyone’s invited.

PLAYLIST FOR “THE TRUTH ABOUT MEN” (10.6.18)

7 Oct

Since we learned this week – much to my surprise – that it’s a scary time for men and that men are the true victims here, I had to do something to support all these poor unfortunate men, victims of an unfair society that never gives them any power nor respect. But what could I do being just a simple and largely ignored radio host? How about a testosterone-filled evening of man-splaining, man-rationalizing, and man-boasting songs, plus beer, of course, with an occasional view from a woman’s perspective?
