PLAYLIST FOR “WHAT I DID ON MY SUMMER VACATION” – SEASON 14 OPENER (9.9.23)

11 Sep

Well, they didn’t change the locks at the radio station, so I was back live to start a new season. Was I any less self-involved? Do you mean, did I learn anything over my summer vacation? I think this week’s theme answers that silly question. I played music in tribute to some of my travels and tossed in a few songs about thing I didn’t do. I finished the show with some of the music that caught my ear while I was away. Was anyone happy to have me back? Gee, I forgot to ask that question.

PLAYLIST FOR “GOOD VS EVIL” – A RE-BROADCAST FROM THE ARCHIVES -(1.4.20)

6 Jan

(Look what I found when I went tiptoeing through the archives! A show from Fall 2018. More to come from the archives. I’ll be back live Jan 25th.)

In the past, Turntable For One has taken on the toughest questions and found a way, sometimes skillfully (usually not), of trivializing them all. This week was no different – but the show did swing like crazy.

PLAYLIST FOR “THE YEAR IN REVIEW 2018” (12.29.18)

30 Dec

I spent a couple of hours reflecting on some of the weekly musical themes from the past year and some of my favorite musical discoveries in an attempt – probably a futile one – to distract the audience from reflecting on all of the things they could have been doing instead of listening to my show every week. Who needs to hear their regrets when I have plenty of my own?
