PLAYLIST FOR THE DESERT ISLAND GAME (2.4.12)

5 Feb

This week we played the Desert Island game — not the one where you fantasize about a dozen androgynous pixies bringing you to a desert island where you and they play sudoku all day and they say you have nice hair. (And just how often do you play that game?) I mean the game where I play two version of the same song and you have to choose which of the two you’d take to a desert island to listen to for the rest of your life — with or without androgynous pixies.

Hope you can get back in time for next week’s show.

HINT FOR THIS WEEK’S THEME (2.4.12)

1 Feb

HINT:

They say that “no man is an island,” though I think someone overlooked Dom Deluise. Still, while listening to this week’s show, you might start to feel the sand between your toes and hear waves lapping the beach. But try harder to stay awake because this week, more than usual, you’ll be making decisions about the music I play.

HINT FOR THIS SATURDAY NIGHT’S THEME (1.14.12)

11 Jan

Hint:

Here’s a partial list of people who could be on Turntable For One this week. What do they all have in common?

Paul Simon, Justin Beiber, Jay Leno and David Letterman, Anthony Perkins, W.A. Mozart, Natalie Cole, Joan of Arc, and on and on…

I’m not certain they’ll all make it, but I hope you will. Something sinister is afoot, although not exactly.
