PLAYLIST FOR “SEASON FINALE 2024 – Summer Listening Assignments” 6.29.24

2 Jul

You think you’re getting rid of me, but I’m going to be even closer to you when I bring my ice cream truck to your neighborhood.  And what extra-special ice cream treats will I be dishing up this year?  I’m so glad you asked.

  • Still trying to recover from the Presidential Debate?  Try my Biden Brain Freeze Blizzard. After a couple bites, you won’t know where you are; you won’t know what you just said.
  • And speaking of brain freezes…you’re going to love my RFK Jr. triple-decker ice cream cone.  I hide a gummy worm in each scoop.  Enjoy – it’s a no-brainer!
  • Looking for something you can really bite into?  Try my new Christy Noem hot dogs. Just don’t ask me where I got the the meats.
  • Taylor Swift — I don’t have an ice cream about her. I just thought if I mentioned her name, it would be good for business.
  • I know everyone’s talking abut them, but I’ve got them: genuine Lauren Boebert hand-rolled waffle cones!
  • In tribute to the Supreme Court, I’ve created three special ice cream treats this year.
  • First, we have the Clarence Thomas Ice Cream Sandwich – It’s vanilla ice cream sandwiched between 2 one-thousand dollar bills. How much does it cost? It’s $2005 for most customers – Clarence Thomas just pays with his dignity.
  • I’ve also got the Upside Down American Flag Frappe – It’s Justice Alioto’s favorite –I wasn’t going to sell it this year but my wife made me do it.
  • And last but not least, I’ve got the Supreme Court Banana Split – it’s 3 scoops of delicious ice cream…and 6 bananas. No need to add nuts.
  • I don’t know about you, but I’m totally over Drumsticks – everyone’s tired of Drumticks, right?  I can do better.  This year I’ve got a Breast-and-Thigh Frozen Treat.  It’s white meat and dark meat in a cup, covered with dark chocolate syrup and peanuts.  Look – Don’t blame me – this is what happens when A.I. creates a sundae!
  • And remember: At my ice cream truck, there are no Gag orders!   All the gagging starts after you eat the ice cream.

It all started because I was sick and tired of hearing words like mischaracterization, and collusion, and all the words that rhyme with it – contusion, infusion, diffusion, transfusion, confusion, etc. Enough! PLAYLIST FOR “THE YEAR IN REVIEW 2018” (12.29.18)

30 Dec

I spent a couple of hours reflecting on some of the weekly musical themes from the past year and some of my favorite musical discoveries in an attempt – probably a futile one – to distract the audience from reflecting on all of the things they could have been doing instead of listening to my show every week.
