PLAYLIST FOR “SEASON FINALE 2017 – SUMMER LISTENING ASSIGNMENTS” (7.1.17)

3 Jul

I’ll be gone for the next 8 weeks while WMNR broadcasts live concerts from Tanglewood by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. So on the season finale, I assigned music and singers who should be on everyone’s summer listening list. PLAYLIST FOR “MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO LOW SELF-ESTEEM” & “MUSICAL MASH-UPS” (3.26.16)

26 Mar

I pulled a couple shows from the archives for everyone’s listening pleasure this week. I’ll be back live next Saturday night!

A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO LOW SELF-ESTEEM

I tried to play the best songs I could think of for this theme, but I probably left out all the really good ones. Crap. I knew I was going to screw it up. Why did I think I could do this right? What was I thinking?

Uh-Oh. Maybe I’ve been thinking about Low Self-Esteem a little too long this week.

MUSICAL MASH-UPS

Can I do two things at once? Rub my head and pat my stomach? It’s more fun if someone does that for me. Walk and chew gum? Ok, so I had to give up chewing gum. Sing two songs at once? Maybe I can’t do that, but these guys can and did this week on Turntable For One.
