Well, they didn’t change the locks at the radio station, so I was back live to start a new season. Was I any less self-involved? Do you mean, did I learn anything over my summer vacation? I think this week’s theme answers that silly question. I played music in tribute to some of my travels and tossed in a few songs about thing I didn’t do. I finished the show with some of the music that caught my ear while I was away. Was anyone happy to have me back? Gee, I forgot to ask that question.

Final show of the season, but I did not go gentle into that good night. I went down swinging. For the first hour I handed out summer listening assignments, music my audience should be listening to while my show is on hiatus. Of course, I included my annual segment of ice cream treats from my ice cream truck, my summer job. Things like the “Rainbow Sherbet Pride Parfait” (Not available in Florida), the “Unsinkable Titan Treat,”the “Mar-A-Lago Milkshake,” and the “Disney Delight” (also not available in Florida). The second hour could be subtitled, “The Long Goodbye.”
