PLAYLIST FOR “CHRISTMAS PARTY 2019” (12.21.19)

22 Dec

Lots of good cheer, great holiday music by favorites young and old, some talk about chopping down a Christmas tree and how the dreidel was an item of torture in my youth, plus chestnuts roasting on an open fire – until I remembered the radio station doesn’t have a fireplace. Merry Christmas to all; and a very happy new year. God knows we could use both.

PLAYLIST FOR “TAKING AN EGO TRIP” – AN ARCHIVE RE-BROADCAST – (12.14.19)

16 Dec

I couldn’t get to the studio this week. It turns out that GPS is useless when you’re taking an ego trip. So I went deep into the archives for a show that, sadly, is as relevant today as it was a few years ago. Maybe more. Of course, I added a few cautionary tales to the Ego Trip itinerary, and a few of these trips don’t exactly come in for a soft landing.

PLAYLIST FOR “HALLOWEEN PARTY 2019” (10.26.19)

27 Oct

My Tenth Annual Halloween party with more treats than tricks. I got to play my favorite haunting melodies with  a number of them sung by some of my favorite ghosts. Of course, my favorite part every year is the game of being visited by trick or treaters and having to guess their costumes. Instead giving them candy, I hand out appropriate songs. PLAYLIST FOR “KNOWN AND UNKNOWN” (9.28.19)

28 Sep

This week’s show was ripped from the headlines with only superficial wounds as a result. Day after day we find out there are things we do know and things we don’t know. Since I’ve demonstrated time after time that I have no shame about exploiting current situations, I dedicated the show to the known and the unknown. I know I got away with it, while it’s unknown to me how I did it.
