Everyone loved Orange Is The New Black. You know what we didn’t love? Orange Is The New Blue when huge, thick, toxic orange clouds of smoke from Canadian forest fires enveloped our cities, giving new meaning to huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Thanks, Canada. As if sending us Celine Dion wasn’t bad enough. I knew I had to do something sensitive and sympathetic for the millions of people who suffered this week. But instead I chose to exploit this tragedy to get some ironic laughs with tunes from the Climate Change Hit Parade.

Sure, I promised my audience a special April 1st show with a new recording of Rod Stewart singing “Nessun Dorma,” a YouTube video of The Boy’s Choir of Galway Cathedral singing in Gaelic, “99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall,” plus a bootleg from a Joni Mitchell recording session where Joni is aiming a profanity-lace rant at her assistant who gave her the wrong bottle of spring water.
