Everyone’s waiting for something – Fall, the new football season, a glimmer of hope, a rebirth of wonder. These good folks are glued to their radios waiting for the return of Turntable For One. They’re going to be stuck there until Sept. 1st.

I’ll be off the air for July and August, pre-empted by live concerts from Tanglewood. So, once again, as a goodbye treat, I offered listeners music to listen to during the summer which we can discuss when I return in September (I expect complete essays with full bibliographies). I’m sure America will be great again by the time I get back. In truth I just hope we survive to see the Fall.
