HINT FOR THIS WEEK’S MUSICAL THEME (2.15.20)

11 Feb

HINT:

I think you have several choices. Either the theme is “brain freeze isn’t funny” or “conjoined twins can have fun” or “Valentine’s Day.” You’ve got till Saturday to decide.

PLAYLIST FOR “THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS” (2.1.20)

3 Feb

I’ve tried for months to do this theme, but something horrible would happen – in a mall, or a night club, or, dear God, another school. So, of course, out of decency I deferred. Besides, after a tragedy, that time is always reserved for politicians to offer their “thoughts and prayers” in lieu of doing anything. I thought I was safe this week, maybe because it was the night before the Super Bowl, or the night before Groundhog Day, or maybe because America really needs a hug this week, I offered some songs about thoughts and prayers.

PLAYLIST FOR “SONGS ABOUT SONGS” – A SHOW FROM THE ARCHIVES – (1.18.20)

20 Jan

MIA again last Saturday and pulled another show from the archive, a show from 2016. I’ll be back live this Saturday. Keep watching this space: Details to follow…

Over the last 7 years, I’ve thought of musical themes of songs for about nearly everything you can think of. Hope you caught my shows with songs about Boy Meets Tinder, Practical First Aid, and The Only Thing The NSA Isn’t Watching Is Paint Drying. PLAYLIST FOR “TAKING AN EGO TRIP” – AN ARCHIVE RE-BROADCAST – (12.14.19)

16 Dec

I couldn’t get to the studio this week. It turns out that GPS is useless when you’re taking an ego trip. So I went deep into the archives for a show that, sadly, is as relevant today as it was a few years ago. Maybe more. Of course, I added a few cautionary tales to the Ego Trip itinerary, and a few of these trips don’t exactly come in for a soft landing.

My Tenth Annual Halloween party with more treats than tricks. I got to play my favorite haunting melodies with  a number of them sung by some of my favorite ghosts.
