You can fool some of the people some of the time – and why, for heaven’s sake, isn’t that enough? So much for my philosophy of life.  My philosophy of music is evident in the playlist below. HINT FOR THIS SATURDAY NIGHT’S MUSICAL THEME (3.4.17)

3 Mar

HINT:

Duke Ellington is supposed to have said that there are just two types of music – good and bad. Types of people? That’s not so simple. For instance, there are people who listen to Turntable For One and those who don’t (more to be pitied than censured). There are people who see the glass as half-full, while others see it as half-empty (I’m more worried about who’s been drinking from my glass). And I can think of yet another way to characterize the troubling gulf that separates people today. No way I’m going to fix it, but I think I can get two hours of great music out of it.
