PLAYLIST FOR “FAMOUS ADDRESSES” 6.7.25

For some reason I seem to be in “get out of Dodge mode” these days. Can’t imagine why. So I played a couple hours of songs about famous addresses, songs with lyrics about famous addresses, and songs recorded at famous addresses.  I especially liked playing Steven Pasquale singing the new national anthem of ICE – On The Street Where You Live. All in all, I think I addressed the topic pretty well.

A couple weeks ago I made a joke calling myself the original Big Beautiful Bill. I thought it was pretty funny all things considered these days. But then I started worrying. What about Billy Wilder? Or Bill Buckley? Or Bill Russell? Or Bill Parcels? Or maybe even Barnacle Bill The Sailor? What about all big beautiful Bills?  Didn’t I owe them an apology? Lots going on…Sunday families will celebrate Easter. One change this year: grocery stores are hiding the eggs. Last week, my family celebrated Passover. PLAYLIST FOR “BAD HABITS” – AN ARCHIVE REBROADCAST – 2.8.25

Had to take a “snow day” and play a show from the archive. Don’t want to make a habit of it, but snow happens. Here’s what I said about the show in 2021:

We all have them. We may try to hide them with varying degrees of success or failure because – let’s face it – they totally reveal us, they embarrass us, and the worst ones can  actually define us for the rest of our lives. Of course I’m talking about our high school yearbook photos. Of course I’m not talking about our high school yearbook photos. I’m talking about Bad Habits. So it was nothing but Bad Habits this week – ranging from binge watching to smoking, drinking, co-dependence. magical thinking, and more. I’d go on but I’ve been told that rambling is a bad habit.
