PLAYLIST FOR “FACT OR ALTERNATIVE FACT?” (6-24-17)

25 Jun

It seems now we even disagree about agreeing to disagree. Things are totally out of control. Don’t you agree? So as a person with a microphone (when I remember to turn it on), don’t I have a solemn responsibility to try to provide some clarity and maybe even some answers? Of course I do. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to do it. Instead I presented a couple hours of people arguing and contradicting each other and never finding common ground. You want cumbaya? Watch Dr. Phil. PLAYLIST FOR “THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANTS” (5.6.17)

6 May

I believe human beings have one determinative principle – although principle seems to be a word that’s fallen from grace and practice these days. “The Heart Wants What It Wants” – Doesn’t that explain why people choose their partners, their meals, their cars, their politicians, and in the case of one of this week’s mystery vocalists, why he married his step-daughter. Emily Dickinson gave that phrase to the world in a letter.  I wonder if she would be happy about that today. I was happy about these songs for this week’s theme.
