PLAYLIST FOR “SUMMER LISTENING ASSIGNMENTS – SEASON FINALE” (7.2.16)

9 Jul

I’m posting this a week late. Computer troubles. Saturday (July 2nd) was my final show of the season so, following tradition, I handed out summer listening assignments, music you should be listening to while Turntable For One is on its summer vacation. I’ll be off the air for 8 weeks, but from time to time I’ll let you know some of the music I’m listening to this summer. Leave a comment and let me know what’s keeping your ears busy, besides the general din of iniquity. I’ll be back on the air September 10th.

27 Jun

WMNR Fine Arts Radio was celebrating another Musical Theme Week, “Gone Fishin'”. So, of course, I jumped right in, since I’ve spent my life  fishing for the right words and angling for an original thought. PLAYLIST FOR “NO ANSWERS, ONLY QUESTIONS!” (3.5.16) #jazz #jazzradio #jazzsingers

6 Mar

I thought we could all use a two-hour break from the endless diarrhetic diatribes of easy answers and dichotomous thinking. Not all questions can be answered in a beat-the-buzzer 90-seconds. In fact, some of the swinging questions I played took more than five minutes just to ask.
